Floor Tiles Chosen by Where They Go
A floor tile has to survive feet, furniture, water and, in some places, cars. A tile that looks perfect in a living room can be the wrong choice for a wet balcony or a parking bay, so our floor tiles are grouped by where they are laid: living area floor tiles, kitchen floor tiles, bathroom floor tiles, balcony and terrace tiles and parking tiles. Together they hold more than 560 designs, all on display at our showroom in BTM Layout, Bengaluru.
Nearly the whole floor range is vitrified, which is the usual choice for Indian floors because it is dense and hard wearing. The designs come mainly from Morson, Exotica and Creanza.
Styles for Floors
- Geometrical tiles, the largest group, used on balconies, terraces and parking areas where a pattern hides everyday dirt.
- Marble and stone look tiles, the usual choice for living rooms and kitchens that want a clean, continuous floor.
- Plain and textured tiles, for a quiet floor that works with any furniture.
- Wooden look tiles, including long 100 x 1200 mm planks, for the warmth of timber without its upkeep.
- Moroccan tiles, for a patterned bathroom, balcony or entrance.
Sizes and Finishes
The most common floor size in our range is 600 x 1200 mm (2 x 4 ft), followed by 400 x 400 mm, 600 x 600 mm, 100 x 1200 mm wooden planks and large 1200 x 1800 mm slabs. Larger tiles mean fewer joints and a more open looking room; 400 x 400 mm tiles are the standard for parking and many balconies because they are easy to lay on slopes and to replace one at a time. You can browse by size on pages such as 600 x 1200 mm tiles, 400 x 400 mm tiles and 100 x 1200 mm wooden planks.
Most of our floor tiles have a matt surface, which is the safer choice anywhere that gets wet. Glossy floor tiles are mainly used in living areas and kitchens where a brighter, reflective floor is wanted. Our anti-skid tile guide explains what to look for on bathroom and balcony floors.
Prices and Quantities
Floor tiles are priced per square foot. Where a price is listed on the site, it ranges from about ₹53 to ₹119 per sq ft; ask us for the current rate on the rest. Because tiles are sold in whole boxes, work out your quantity with our tile calculator before you order, and allow extra for cuts, especially with diagonal layouts and large formats.
See Them on the Floor
Floor tiles change character with size and light more than any other tile, so it pays to see them laid out. At our BTM Layout showroom you can compare floor tiles side by side, check them against wall tiles and fittings, and get help with layouts and quantities.
