The Middle Ground
It gives more grout lines than a 600x600, so more grip and an easier fall to a drain, while covering ground faster than a 400x400. That makes it a sensible choice for a large balcony, a terrace or a utility area that is too big to want small tiles and too wet to want large ones.
Outdoor Use
If it is going outside, the finish matters more than the size. Matt, textured and rustic surfaces hold grip in the rain; nothing glossy belongs on an outdoor floor. Ask us for the anti-skid rating on the design you like.
