The first question at our counter is almost always the floor tiles price, and it never has a single answer. Across the 499 floor tile designs we carry, the ones with a listed price run from ₹62 to ₹145 per sq ft. Most sit near the bottom of that band.
The tile is also only part of the bill. Add wastage, adhesive, grout, skirting and labour, and the figure on the box is a long way from what the floor costs. This guide covers what we charge by room and style, what pushes a tile up the price list, and how to work out the total for a real room in a Bengaluru flat.
One thing to know before the numbers: 238 of our 499 floor designs are on display in the BTM Layout showroom and carry a listed price. The rest are quoted on request, so where a range below says "on request", that is because we would rather give you a current figure than print a stale one.
This is the whole floor collection, split as it is on our website. Where only a few designs are priced, treat the range as a guide.

Three things stand out.
The living room is where most of the spend goes, so start with the living area floor tiles, and the marble and stone living range in particular, which has the widest price spread of anything we sell.
Two tiles that look similar in a photograph can be ₹80 apart per sq ft. Three things explain most of it.
Size is the biggest single driver in our range. The tiles listed at ₹145 are 1200x1800 mm marble and stone slabs, while 400x400 mm tiles sit at the other end, from ₹65. Large slabs are harder to press flat and need more careful handling, and that shows up in the price. All prices here are list prices; ask at the counter about any current offers.
Our floor range by the most common sizes:
Our tile sizes guide covers which format suits which room. Do not buy 1200x1800 mm for a small bedroom: in a 10 ft room you lose most of the effect to cuts.
Almost all our floor tiles are vitrified, around 462 of the 499, with only 11 ceramic. Vitrification is what gives a floor tile its low water absorption and strength, which is why it dominates floors. Within vitrified, surface-printed glazed tiles cost less than tiles whose colour runs deeper into the body, such as double charged tiles, which hold their look longer under heavy wear. For a parking or a busy entrance, our double charged tiles guide explains why that extra cost is worth it there and nowhere else. The vitrified versus ceramic comparison covers the basic difference.
Our floor range is mostly matt: 392 matt designs, 59 glossy and 21 in Shapetech 4D, a textured finish with more surface relief. Finish matters less to price than format, but a lot to where the tile can go. A glossy tile on a bathroom or balcony floor is a slip risk once wet, and the Tile Council of North America explains how slip resistance is measured if you want to compare ratings rather than rely on how a tile feels dry.
A realistic total has five lines in it.
A worked example, using our own prices for a 12 x 14 ft living room:
Round up to full boxes and buy from one batch so the shade matches. Our guide to how many tiles you need walks through the box maths step by step.
People often compare a wall tile quote with a floor tile quote and assume one is wrong. They are priced on different terms.
For kitchen walls and backsplashes, our sibling post on kitchen tiles price covers the wall side in detail. For bathrooms, where wall and floor are usually bought together, read bathroom tiles price in Bangalore rather than this guide.
Come to our BTM Layout showroom with your room sizes written down. We will lay out two or three tiles at different price points side by side, and work out the tile quantity, wastage and skirting with you before you leave, so the number you take home is the real one.
At our BTM Layout showroom, floor tiles with a listed price run from ₹62 to ₹145 per sq ft. Most sit between ₹65 and ₹80, and only large marble and stone slabs reach ₹145. About half of our 499 floor designs are quoted on request, so the figure you get for a specific range may fall outside the listed band.
Mostly format. In our range the 1200x1800 mm marble and stone slabs are listed at ₹145 per sq ft, while many 400x400 mm tiles are listed at ₹65. Body type matters too, since tiles with colour running deeper into the body cost more than surface printed ones. Finish and brand make a smaller difference than size does.
Multiply the room length by width for the area, add around 10 percent for wastage on a straight lay, and multiply by the tile price per sq ft. Then add adhesive, grout, skirting along the walls and the contractor's labour rate. Round the tile quantity up to full boxes, and buy everything from one batch so the shade matches.
Often, because floor tiles are almost always vitrified and come in larger formats, while many wall tiles are lighter ceramic in smaller sizes. That said, the total wall tile bill can be larger, since bathroom walls tiled to the ceiling cover more area than the floor. Compare the cost per room rather than the cost per sq ft.
For most living rooms and bedrooms, 600x1200 mm. It is the most common format in our range, it gives a clean look with fewer joints, and it avoids the extra cost and wastage of 1200x1800 mm slabs. For balconies, terraces and parking, 400x400 mm tiles are cheaper, easier to slope for drainage and widely available in matt finishes.
Not in any consistent way in our range. Finish has much less effect on price than size and body type. The real difference is where you can use it. Glossy tiles suit dry living areas, while bathrooms, balconies and kitchens need matt or textured tiles for grip. Most of our floor range, 392 designs, is matt.
No. Our prices are for the tile alone, per sq ft. Labour is quoted separately by your contractor, and it may or may not include removing the old floor, levelling, adhesive and grout. Ask for a written breakdown so you can compare two quotes properly, because the cheaper looking one often leaves several of those items out.
Reading about it only gets you so far. Everything here is on the floor at our BTM Layout showroom, so you can put two options side by side, in daylight, before committing. Tell us what you are choosing between and we will have them ready before you arrive.
