What Is in This Range
This is the largest single collection we hold for living room floors, at 89 designs. The bulk of it sits in the 600x1200mm (2x4 foot) format, with a smaller group in 1200x1800mm for rooms where you want very few grout lines, and a handful of 400x400mm pieces. Almost everything here is vitrified tile, which is what makes the marble look practical underfoot in a room that takes daily traffic.
On finish, the range splits roughly two to one in favour of glossy over matt. That split matters more than the pattern you pick. A glossy marble floor throws light back into a hall and looks its best in photographs, but it shows every footmark and water spot in a house with children or a dog. Matt in the same marble design gives you the look with far less daily attention. Our guide to matt versus glossy tiles goes through where each one earns its place.
Price
Priced designs in this range run from Rs 53 to Rs 119 per square foot. Where a design carries no price on its page, it is quoted rather than listed, so ask us and we will send the current rate the same day. Stock and pricing both move, so confirm before you commit to a full room.
Choosing a Marble Look for a Living Room
Match the format to the room
600x1200mm is the safe default for most Bengaluru living rooms. It gives long, uninterrupted runs with few grout lines, and a box of two covers about 15.5 square feet. Step up to 1200x1800mm only if the room is genuinely large and the access to it will take a tile that size through the door.
Decide the finish before the design
People usually pick the veining first and the finish last, which is the wrong way round. Settle glossy or matt against how the room is lived in, then choose the pattern within that group.
Look at a full tile, not a sample
Marble look tiles are printed in a set number of faces, and a pattern that looks subtle on a 100mm sample can repeat visibly across a 200 square foot floor. Ask to see several pieces laid together at the showroom.
What Works With It
If you want the same stone language on the walls, our Marble & Stone wall tile range is the closest match in finish. For a floor with less pattern and more texture, look at Plain and Texture, and for something with a defined repeat, the Geometrical range. The same marble and stone designs for a kitchen floor sit under Kitchen Floor Tiles.
Working Out How Much You Need
Measure the room, add ten per cent for cuts and breakage, then divide by the coverage of one box. Every tile page on the site carries a calculator that does this for the specific design, and our guide on how many tiles you need explains the arithmetic and the mistakes that cost money.
